Brief afternoon showers start appearing in late May but mornings are typically beautiful. Restaurants have shorter waits, beaches have more space, and vacation rental availability is much better than peak season.
Gulf water temps are perfect. Paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming are all excellent.
One of the best months for fishing. Tarpon season peaks in May and June. Snook and permit are also active.
Still good shelling at Tigertail Beach at low tide in the morning.
